Brief: Coca-Cola commissioned Fieldey to come up with two street art mural ideas to activate spaces in the iconic Ocean Beach Hotel in Cottesloe, Western Australia. The murals had to take into account and incorporate the setting of the OBH - the beautiful Cottesloe beach as well as subtle Coca-Cola branding.
Outcome: For their downstairs bar she painted the iconic Cottesloe beach as a background on the wall and then mounted a custom painted 'Gidget' surfboard on top - echoing the area's reputation as a popular surf spot. Coke branding was subtly incorporated as two retro bottles in the sand and a logo on the board itself.
Continuing the retro theme upstairs in the rooftop bar, Fieldey painted a faux wood-panelled 'Tiki Bar', complete with retro pin up model drinking Coke and Coke neon sign. The murals have been a popular edition to the bar and have been extensively photographed for instagram.
Fieldey created two custom videos of the project for YouTube which can be viewed below.
